Terms for poise.se and the free tools
These terms cover the website, the free tools and the security updates. Paid services are governed by the quote and the agreement.
1. Parties
The website poise.se and the free tools are provided by POISE AB, company reg. no. 556773-0923, Brunnsgatan 9, 172 68 Sundbyberg, Sweden ("POISE", "we"). By using the website you accept these terms. Nothing in these terms limits rights that follow from mandatory law.
2. Scope
These terms cover the website, the free tools (domain check, email check, network tools, password and subnet tools, vulnerability database, news feed, quiz and game) and the security updates. The tools are intended for businesses and organisations. Paid services – monthly packages, specialist engagements, hosting, domains and licences – are governed by the quote, the agreement and POISE's data processing agreement, not by this page.
3. The free tools
The tools are provided as is and for information. Results are based on public sources at the time of the check and may be incomplete. Do not make security-critical decisions on these results alone. The tools may only be used against domains and addresses you are responsible for or are entitled to check.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use the website for unlawful purposes, attempt unauthorised access to systems or data, circumvent rate limits, use automated access beyond normal use, impersonate others or interfere with operations.
5. Intellectual property
Content, text, graphics and software on the website belong to POISE AB or its licensors. Images used under Creative Commons licences are listed on the Image credits page. POISE is a trademark of POISE Holding AB, used by POISE AB with permission. You may not copy, distribute or adapt the content without written consent, beyond what the licences on the Image credits page allow.
6. Liability
The website and the tools are provided without warranties. To the extent permitted by law, POISE AB is not liable for indirect damages, loss of profit or consequential damages arising from use of the website or the tools. Liability for paid services is governed by the respective agreement.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the website and the tools available but make no availability commitment for the free services. We may change, limit or discontinue them.
8. Personal data
How we process personal data is described in the privacy policy.
9. Governing law and disputes
Swedish law applies. Disputes with a business or organisation are settled by the Swedish courts, with Solna District Court (Solna tingsrätt) as the court of first instance. Consumers keep the forum rules that follow from law and may turn to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN).
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The version published here applies from the date shown at the top of the page.
